Tourists in Phu Quoc can choose electric vehicles to go around the city for sight-seeing.

4-wheel electric car is powered by electrical energy to serve tourists the government recently allowed the pilot to operate in the city of Hoi An (Quang Nam), Phu Quoc (Kien Giang). The vehicles will be operating in time and certain route to ensure traffic safety and without causing congestion. After 6 months of implementation, they will organize preliminary evaluation of the results to draw lessons for the next performance.

Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Quang Binh, Lao Cai, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Thua Thien Hue, Khanh Hoa, Ba Ria – Vung Tau has been operated electric car as pilot. In addition, some areas such as Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh), Mong Cai (Quang Ninh), Ho Chi Minh City, has also put into operation in order to meet demands of tourism and local transportation.

Electric vehicles are considered to be kind of clean transport, fuel-efficient, environmentally friendly and help avoid traffic jams, therefore, it brings about image of civilization and modernity. In the pilot provinces, the fare is about 12.000 to 20.000 VND per transfer and it operates from 6:00 am to 22:00 pm, an average of 30 minutes a trip.
